  • Bone Suckin' Chips Recipe: Ingredients Bone Suckin’® Hot Seasoning & Rub, 1 Tbsp Sweet Potatoes, 2 White Potatoes, 4 Peanut Oil, 1 qts Sea Salt and Pepper Method Step 1 Before cooking the food, in a large pot, pour in the peanut oil (the oil should not take up more than half the pot) and bring the heat to high. While the oil is heating, slice the potatoes very thinly. (Using a mandolin slicer makes this job very easy.) Once the oil is heated, work in batches and drop the potatoes in the oil. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, occasionally stirring to ensure even cooking. Step 2 Carefully pull the fried potatoes out and place on paper towels to let them drain and cool. While the potatoes are hot, sprinkle with sea salt and Bone Suckin’® Hot Seasoning & Rub. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • Grits:
  • Milk, whole, 16 oz
  • Chicken broth, 16 oz
  • Salt, 1/2 tsp
  • Stone ground grits, 1 cup
  • Garlic, 2 cloves, minced
  • Butter, 1/4 cup
  • Pepper, 1/2 tsp
  • Cajun Shrimp:
  • Shrimp, medium or large, peeled & deveined, 1 pound
  • Butter, 2 Tbsp
  • Bone Suckin' Cajun Seasoning, 2 tsp
  • Bacon, 1/2 lb, cut into 1 inch sections

Method

Step 1

Grits: In a saucepan over medium heat, add milk, chicken broth, and salt. Bring to a boil, then slowly whisk in grits and garlic.

Step 2

Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and cook for about 20 minutes, stirring frequently. If grits begin to stick to the pan, stir and reduce heat. Grits should be creamy and smooth when done.

Step 3

Remove from heat, add butter and pepper, Stir, cover and set aside.

Step 4

Cajun Shrimp: Cook bacon in skillet and remove. Leave 1 Tbsp of bacon grease in skillet and use same skillet to cook the shrimp.

Step 5

While bacon is cooking, season shrimp with Bone Suckin' Cajun Seasoning and coat sides evenly.

Step 6

Over medium heat, add butter and saute shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, flip and cook for 1 more minute. Shrimp are ready when pink. Remove from heat.

Step 7

Spoon grits into a bowl and mix in bacon and shrimp. Serve while hot.
