Bone Suckin' Hot Honey, Mac & Cheese, Stove
- 2-4 oz Bone Suckin' Hot Honey
- 1 lb Elbow Pasta
- 4 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
- 4 Cups Milk whole
- 4 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese shredded, 1/2 cup reserved for top
- 2 Cups Gruyere Cheese shredded, 1/2 cup reserved for top
- 3 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
Oven
1 Medium pot
1 Whisk
1 Casserole dish 9 x 13
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Boil pasta according to directions on box. Drain and set aside.
In a pot, on stove, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and whisk for about a minute until it looks like a paste. Add 1 cup of milk and continue whisking until there are no lumps. Add remaining milk, salt and pepper. Cook, whisking frequently, for 5-8 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in cheese.
Add pasta to cheese mixture and fold in. Pour into a 9x13 oven safe dish and add remaining shredded cheese on top. Bake for 20 minutes. Broil for the last 2-3 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow to rest for 20 minutes. Drizzle Bone Suckin' Hot Honey over portions before serving.
Note: Add shredded chicken and make it a complete meal. Great for meal prepping!
