Wild Aunt Betty’s 3rd & 4th Ex-Husband’s Mother’s Southern Yum Pecan Pie

You haven’t truly tasted Southern dessert until you’ve had Wild Aunt Betty’s 3rd & 4th Ex-Husband’s Mother’s Southern Yum Pecan Pie — a recipe so legendary it survived three weddings, two divorces, and a family reunion. Sweet, sticky, and perfectly toasted, this pie brings that buttery-crunchy-gooey bite that makes you close your eyes and smile.

Ingredients
  

  • Southern Yum® Pecan Brittle a few pieces, crumbled
  • 16 oz Light Brown Sugar 1 Box
  • 1/2 Cup Salted Butter Melted
  • 3 Eggs
  • 3 Tbsp Self Rising White Cornmeal
  • 2/3 Cup Milk
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
  • 2 Cups Pecans Chopped
  • 2 Pie Crusts Unbaked

Equipment

  • Oven
  • 1 Microwave Dish
  • 1 Medium Bowl
  • 2 Pie plates

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Place pecans into bottom of unbaked pie shells. (1 cup each)
  2. Beat eggs separately. Melt butter, in microwave safe dish.
  3. Mix eggs and melted butter with other ingredients. Pour one half of the mixture over pecans in each pie crust.
  4. Bake at 350°F for about 40 minutes until pecans are golden brown and done. Makes 2 Pies.
  5. Finish with Southern Yum Pecan Brittle crumbled on top! Enjoy!
